Mullum Cares is a non profit organisation that inspires and enables resource conservation by challenging consumer, retailer & manufacturing behaviours.

As consumers what we buy matters.

As businesses what we sell matters.

Waste that is predictable is often avoidable.  It’s in all of our interests to stop wasting our planets finite resources.

OUR PURPOSE

To protect and enhance the natural environment.

To achieve this we design and deliver programmes and projects that:

Inspire and enable our community to actively avoid products that are designed to be single use or of poor quality.

Keep products already made in use as long as possible and maximise their utility by sharing and caring for them in a dogged and determined fashion.

Our Activities

We create opportunities for our community to reduce their personal or organisations demands for resources.

-//-

We deliver a Library of Things – our Library of Stuff Co op – to promote the act of sharing as a powerful resource conservation act.

-//-

We offer hire of light weight reusables for events – think cups, plates, bowls – and staff to manage these if required through our Wash Instead of Waste Social Enterprise.

-//-

Our Salvage Culture Project has a Workshop space and campaigns that focus on driving circular economy activities in the Northern Rivers, NSW.

-//-

Our Rebuild Flood Resilient project provides information and encouragement for flooded home owners who question the behaviour of their insurers plan to rebuild them like-for-like.
